Lesson Information – What You Can Expect:
Each lesson will be focused on helping the student make real progress: this means noticeable improvement in specific concepts and sounds that you can begin integrating into your everyday English conversation. It is possible that 4 weeks may be spent focusing mainly on one or two specific concepts or sounds, like placement, the R sound, or linking. If you commit to drilling during the week, combined with the recording projects and our focused lessons, you will see improvement. Students must commit to practicing 20 minutes a day, every day, to see improvement. An example lesson is outlined below.
Each week you will have a recording assignment to complete 48 hours before your lesson. All active students also get access to the MegaFun Classroom developed by Rachel and Tom – where you will find tons of videos, audio drills, games, a listening room, and forums where you will be able to ask questions and communicate with other people from around the world who are improving their pronunciation. You can’t get access to this material anywhere else! See below for an outline of a typical lesson.

2:30pm – Focused drilling work with the teacher – making sure that the student is drilling correctly and is understanding all sounds and concepts fully.
2:45pm – Free talk / conversation: a chance for the student to practice focusing on the topic while in conversation with the teacher. The teacher will clarify any words/phrases that need adjustment.
2:55pm – Wrap Up – Discuss questions from the session and select recording project for following lesson.
