Have you ever thought about all the different ways in English we say “to go poop” and thought why?
Why do we have so many ways?
Why do we talk about poop so much?
There’s “go poop” which almost no one says, maybe, unless you’re a kid.
There’s “I have to go #2.” Pee is number one, poop is number two.
I’ve also heard people say “drop a deuce.”
Pinch a loaf.
Lay cable.
Drop the kids off at the pool.
Take a dump.
Take a shit.
Lay a brick.
Sit on the throne.
And this isn’t all.
They say the Inuit have dozens of ways to talk about snow.
And in English, we have dozens of ways to talk about going poop.
Hmm.
